Discovery, A Performing Arts Ministry: is a ministry where the word of God comes alive through performing arts. Through the Word of God Discovery will provide opportunity for one to express their creative side and open time blinded eyes to discover and see their glorious possibilities in Christ providing performances for church programs, outings and presentations.
Men's Ministry: unites for men to develop, use and express their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the Church. This ministry spearheads the Annual Men's Day Program, Annual Fish Fry and Fellowship Banquet. The Men's Chorus sings each fifth Sunday and at other services as requested. The men gather for discussion, sharing, teaching, praying, working and fellowshipping for the purpose to assist in maturing as spiritual men, supporting the church and advancing the Kingdom of God.
Music Ministry: The purpose of the music ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, encourage believers in their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of the worship. Included in this department is The Sanctuary Choir, The Mass Choir, The Men’s Chorus, The Youth Choir and The Praise Team.
Nurses Board: To love, care for, aid, comfort and encourage those in need and to show our image of God through our service to God's people, whenever and wherever needed. To administer comfort and aid to stricken individuals; to address and circulate informative literature relating to health and life and to offer First aid to the congregation.
Sunday School: "It's For Life" Wonderful things happen in Sunday School. this department has the responsibility of providing spiritual learning and Christian Education for the entire church body. Classes are provided for all age groups each and every Sunday at 9:00am. Sunday School will show its promise with just a little more attention. Sunday School can touch the lives of everyone in the congregation - from the very young to the very old. the Sunday School department spearheads the following programs; Black History, Easter, The Church Picnic, Christmas, and Alternative to Halloween, Vacation Bible School and the New Members Class, a 12 week class offered upon joining our congregation which many continue after 12 weeks, therefore it is being referred to as "The Enrichment Class".
Usher Board: For a day in the courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness" Psalm 84:10
The usher is a personal representative of Jesus Christ who meets people on a person to person basis when they first arrive the church. Ushers are one who helps members and visitors feel comfortable, directs those who have come to worship and serves with spiritual dignity during the entire service. Ushers are persons who have accepted the challenge of a person to person ministry in the church and thus strive to establish a standard of excellence in which they know the Christ has come to expect. Our Senior and Junior Ushers' Ministries serve as doorkeepers in the "House of The Lord."
Women’s Ministry: Designed to impact the lives of women through outreach with biblical responses to spiritual, physical and emotional issues. It is the goal of this ministry to provide places and times of connection for women with each other in fellowship, support and encouragement; most importantly with God through Jesus Christ in an atmosphere that is comfortable and inviting.
Youth Ministry: To provide opportunities for young people to be used by God and to transform them into committed followers of Christ. The youth are visible in every ministry, youth usher board, youth choir, Young women’s ministry, young men’s ministry, to Children’s church. The Youth department spearheads our biggest youth rally’s yet.
